The IALTA Aircraft Paint Awareness Training Course is an online course (€120) that covers paint processes, compliance, quality standards, and contract considerations. It provides the foundation you need to maximize your hands-on training from Day 1. You can complete it at ialta.aero.

Level 1 (Painters Apprentice) is 1 week with 40 onsite hours. Level 2 (Painters Technician) and Level 3 (Painters Professional) are each 2 weeks with 80 onsite hours. All levels run on a rolling schedule — Level 1 weekly, Levels 2 and 3 bi-weekly.

Level 1 is $3,200, Level 2 is $4,400, and Level 3 is $5,800. Each level includes all onsite training, materials, and certification upon completion.

Yes. Each level builds on the skills from the previous one. You must complete Level 1 before enrolling in Level 2, and Level 2 before Level 3. This ensures every student has the foundation needed for success at each stage.

Cohorts are capped at 8 students to ensure personalized instruction and meaningful hands-on time with professional crews on real aircraft.

Yes — 100% of the training takes place on real customer aircraft with professional crews. There are no lab simulations. You work on actual paint jobs from day one, building genuine, marketable experience.

Training takes place at our partner facility operated by Paintgrl Aero & Auto Refinishing. The facility provides live aircraft, professional instructors, safety oversight, and insurance coverage for all training activities.

Level 3 graduates have the skills and credentials to work with FBOs, MROs, and private aircraft owners — or launch their own independent aircraft paint business. The full APA certification portfolio demonstrates professional competency to employers and clients across the aviation industry.
